Presidential Promises

Barack Obama gave an impressive speech yesterday during his inauguration. He gave a speech which offered a lot of hope to people around the world. We are in tough shape as a country right now and Obama plans to ease some of the pain we have endured over the past 8 years or so. He made several promises during his speech. In fact he made over 500 promises. Unfortunately, the media was all over that and decided to put up a website in order to track Obama's promises. Despite the criticism of some individuals Obama's first day in office as president yielded results. He has already kept 6 promises, which aim at things like cutting down corporate corruption and lobbying. There are currently 14 more promises in the works and as Obama's cabinet begins to get to work he will surely fulfill more of these promises. I believe that regardless of Obama's promises his main purpose for making these statements was to give hope. Americans desperately need hope right now. Every money making market is in a financial crisis and Obama's words were meant to drive a positive message to the hearts and minds of Americans.
